• Black Leopards are also known as Black Panthers.

Black Jaguars are sometimes mistakenly referred to as Black Panthers, an easy way to determine the jaguar is by their big head, thick strong forelimbs and shorter tails.

The base colour of a leopard's fur varies with the habitat with which it lives. i.e. The Snow Leopards have longer fur on their stomach for warmth, while the base coat is coloured white. They live in the mountain areas of Russia,

China and the Himalayas. Desert Leopards have a yellow or cream base coat. Clouded Leopards have cloud like spots, live in South Eastern Asia and often hang upside down from tree branches.
